ANNOUNCEMENTS:
This Sunday, October 3rd, there will be two services at 9:00 and 10:30am.
There will be coffee and light refreshments between the two services.
The service will be live streamed on FaceBook and on the church website nlf-online.church during the 9:00 am service. It will be accessible on both Face Book and the New Life website if you prefer to watch the service at a later time.
Little Sprouts Preschool Fundraiser:
Little Sprouts Preschool is having a Scentsy fundraiser from September 27 through October 8th. Delivery will be about 3 weeks after the order deadline. A student may be asking you if you would like to purchase something, or you may contact Missy Eichelberger or Molly Ryall to place your order. Thank you in advance for your support!
Parenting in a Digital Age:
Attention parents, grandparents, and those who might want to be parents someday! We have a special event coming up for you October 15-16th: Parenting in a Digital Age. With the access our children have to the internet, screen time, the seemingly endless bombardment of social media, video platforms, and the like, we will be taking a look at how we can effectively navigate and parent our children through these times. Discussing the dangers that we might not be aware of, practical advice and support, and so much more. Our speaker will be Derry Prinkert who has over 20+ years of student ministry experience and youth culture. Dinner will be provided both days at 5:45 and the programming starting at 6pm to 8:30pm. We HIGHLY recommend that you make the time and effort to attend this weekend seminar as it will be valuable to not just parents and parents-to-be, but to grandparents or anyone who works with children and students. Operation Christmas Child:
Please visit the table in our foyer to pick up a box for Operation Christmas Child (a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse). At the table you will find instructions on to how to fill the box, along with mailing labels, and examples of items to include in your box. Please include $9.00 shipping in an envelope inside your box (cash or check made out to Samaritan’s Purse). You may also track your box by scanning the QR code on the label. Trunk or Treat Event:
We will having a Trunk-Or-Treat event on Wednesday, October 27 (6:30-8pm). We are looking for individuals who would be willing to provide a themed trunk and hand out candy to the children. Our goal is to have 20-25 trunks this year. If you are interested in having a trunk, but need help with a theme or decorations, the church has items that you can use (contact Becky Hunsberger). Please sign up at the Info Desk. Also, if you would like to donate candy for this event, there will be bins at the Info Desk and in the Kid’s Ministry hallway. Mark your calendar and plan to attend! This is a great chance to reach out to our community, so spread the word and bring your friends and neighbors!
