New Life Fellowship | Topeka, IN

December 3, 2020

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

This Sunday, December 6:

  • We will continue to have two services at 9:00am and 10:30am.
  • Pastor Drew will continue to teach his sermon series, “Reordering Our Priorities”.
  • There will be nursery & toddler care and Kids Country children’s programming for all ages during the second service. If you prefer, you may attend the first service and sit together as a family.
  • The service will be live streamed only during the 9:00am service. It will be posted on Face Book if you prefer to watch the service at a later time.

As the situation with Covid is constantly changing, the NLF Staff and Leadership are carefully monitoring the situation and will communicate to the church body any changes that would affect our weekly ministries. This will be communicated through NLF email, texts, and on our website and facebook page.

If you or your family become ill with Covid, please let the staff know so that we can pray for you and support you through this difficult time. NLF has an amazing Covid Care Team and Caring Meals Ministry that can provide meals, groceries, and anything else you might need as you recover and go through the quarantine period.
A big thank you to those who have been providing meals and helping meet these needs!

Preteen Event this Sunday:
As you know our Connect students will be adopting two local families for Christmas! We will be taking our Connect kids shopping for these gifts on Sunday, December 6th! After class this Sunday our kids will have lunch in the Cafe at the church, we’ll then go to Goshen to do the shopping, back to the church for a snack and as much power wrapping as we can do, and you can pick up your child at 4pm at the church. Here’s a few details on the intentions of keeping everyone Covid safe. Masks will be worn. When we eat, we’ll have 1 child per side of each table in the Cafe, masks in the cars, masks in the stores and we’ll provide hand sanitizers in each car that the adult can make sure everyone uses. Also, if you could please RSVP for your child so that we can be sure to have the appropriate amount of adults/cars ready. If you have any questions, please contact our preteen director, Kerin Miller.

Adopt-A-Family:
If there is any family or small group wanting to adopt a family for Christmas from the Westview School District, please call or text Michelle Sharick. We have agreed to sponsor up to 10 families this Christmas! This is a great way to be involved in meeting the needs of our community! Thank you!

Help our local food pantry!
On Sunday, December 13th, New Life will be collecting needed items for the Topeka Food Pantry. The pantry serves many families within our community. Bring a bag/box of items to church on Sunday, December 13th. Set your bags outside of your vehicle before service, and someone will collect the bags and then take the donations to the food pantry.
Items the pantry is in need of are cereal, laundry soap, dish soap, peanut butter, canned pasta – both lasagna and ravioli, canned tuna, canned chicken breast, and boxes of macaroni and cheese. If you have any questions, contact Michelle Sharick or Jasmin Miller.

THANK YOU to all of those who wrote out notes of encouragement for our area nursing home residents!! The Missions team has purchased several large print word searches and adult coloring books to donate, and a personalized note inside each of these books will be a reminder that they are loved and lifted up in prayer. Thanks again!!
