ANNOUNCEMENTS:
This Sunday there will be two services at 9:00 and 10:30 am.
We will be having Child Dedication in both services.
There will be coffee and light refreshments between the two services.
The service will be live streamed on FaceBook and on the church website nlf-online.church during the 9:00 am service. It will be accessible on both Face Book and the New Life website if you prefer to watch the service at a later time.
Opportunity to Serve Youth in our Community:
Meals of Hope (a ministry of Reason 4 Hope) is a food program that serves youth in our area by providing meals and snacks for them during the summer. This program started 2 years ago to help children who were dealing with food insecurity in their households and includes all 3 school systems in the county this year. If you would like to help pack meals, contact Dawn Christner. If you would like to help financially or have additional questions, contact Kim Hays at or Sonja Giggy. There are also flyers at the info table with more information. Thank you!
Foster’s Closet Shower:
We are still collecting items to bless the ministry of Foster’s Closet. Foster’s Closet receives donations of children’s clothing, diapers, coats, shoes, and many other items of need for foster children. There is a list of needed items at the information table. Please place your donated items in the box in the foyer by May 15th. If you have questions regarding Foster’s Closet, please contact Charity. For questions regarding the shower donations, please contact Dawn Christner.
Unite for Levi T-Shirts & Fundraiser:
The Unite for Levi T-shirts have arrived! They are available for you to pick up this Sunday or on Tuesday, May 10th at NLF from 3-5:30pm.
The pancake and sausage fundraiser and silent/live auction will be on Saturday, May 21st from 4-8 pm at the Farmstead Inn Event Pavilion. All proceeds will benefit Levi Parker and his family with his ongoing cancer treatment. There are sign-ups available at the Info Desk with various ways you can be involved. If you would like to donate an item for the Silent or Live Auction or need more information, please email unite4levi@gmail.com.
Wednesday Evening Body:Life:
We currently have 8 small groups that are meeting on Wednesday evenings from 7-8pm. Groups are still open if you would like to be a part of Body Life. A light meal is served at 6:30 pm and there are age appropriate activities for all children, preteens, and students. If you would like to sign up for Body Life please respond to this email or contact Becky Hunsberger. Thank you!
Senior Recognition Sunday:
We will honor our high school graduates on Sunday, May 29th. If you have a senior you would like to honor, please stop by the info desk and fill out a registration form and return it to the church office by May 22nd. Please email a photo of your student to becky@nlf-online.org.
Junior/Senior High Summer Camp:
Summer camp will be June 23-26 at Beulah Beach Camp in Vermilion, Ohio. This camp is for all students currently in 6th-12th grade and will include one day at Cedar Point. The cost is $300 by June 1st. Registration forms are available at the Info Desk. If you would like to sponsor a student to go to summer camp, please contact Pastor Jordan.
Summer VBS:
Vacation Bible School will take place June 13-17 from 5:45-8:00pm. VBS is for children 4 years through 3rd grade. We still need volunteers to help in various areas. Please contact Pastor Russ if you would like to find a spot to serve. Sign ups for both children and volunteers are available in the foyer. VBS is a great opportunity for outreach in our community, so sign your children up and encourage them to invite a friend or neighbor!
Round Tables with Jesus:
Everyone is invited to join “Round Tables with Jesus”, a Bible study which meets from 9:30-10:15 am on Sunday mornings in the Meeting Place. Herman Yoder and Mark Sharick are leading this Bible study on the book of Romans. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with others and study God’s word together. Men’s Prayer:
Men’s Prayer breakfast is an open group that meets on Thursday mornings at 6:00 am. If you would like more information, please contact Pastor Russ.
