ANNOUNCEMENTS:
This Sunday there will be two services at 9:00 and 10:30 am.
There will be coffee and light refreshments between the two services.
The service will be live streamed on FaceBook and on the church website nlf-online.church during the 9:00 am service. It will be accessible on both Face Book and the New Life website if you prefer to watch the service at a later time.
Report on Body:Life:
Body:Life is off to a great start! We currently have 8 small groups that are meeting on Wednesday evenings from 7-8pm. Attendance has been 74 people on April 20 and 81 on April 27th. Groups are still open if you would like to be a part of Body Life. A light meal is served at 6:30 pm and there are age appropriate activities for all children, preteens, and students.
National Day of Prayer:
Next Thursday, May 5th is the National Day of Prayer. In honor of this day, the New Life Fellowship sanctuary will be open from 6am to 4pm for you to come and pray. There will be prayer guides available for you to use and you may come any time throughout the day. At noon, we will gather for a time of corporate prayer for anyone who is available. Pastor Russ will lead this time of prayer as we lift up our nation, community, and world. Please come and join us at noon on May 5th or any time during the day!
Foster’s Closet Shower:
May is National Foster Care Month and New Life would like to bless area foster families!! Let’s “shower” our area Foster’s Closet with much needed items! Foster’s Closet receives donations of children’s clothing, diapers, coats, shoes, and many other items of need for foster children. There is no cost to foster families, and this ministry is a valuable resource for the children and their families. There is a list of needed items at the information table. Please place your donated items in the box in the foyer and we will make sure to get the items to Charity Bontrager. If you have questions regarding Foster’s Closet, please contact Charity. For questions regarding the shower donations, please contact Dawn Christner.
Child Dedication Sunday:
This is the last Sunday to sign up for child dedication on Mother’s Day, May 8th. If you would like to publicly dedicate your child (of any age) to the Lord, please pick up a registration form at the info desk and return it to the office by May 1st. Child Dedication will take place during both services. Please email a photo of your child to becky@nlf-online.org.
Unite for Levi Fundraiser:
There will be a pancake and sausage fundraiser and silent/live auction on Saturday, May 21st from 4-8 pm at the Farmstead Inn Event Pavilion. All proceeds will benefit Levi Parker and his family with his ongoing cancer treatment. This Sunday there will be sign-ups available at the Info Desk with various ways you can be involved. If you would like to donate an item for the Silent or Live Auction or need more information, please email unite4levi@gmail.com.
Senior Recognition Sunday:
We will honor our high school graduates on Sunday, May 29th. If you have a senior you would like to honor, please stop by the info desk and fill out a registration form and return it to the church office by May 22nd. Please email a photo of your student to becky@nlf-online.org.
Summer VBS:
Save the Date! Vacation Bible School will take place June 13-17 from 5:45-8:00pm. VBS is for children 4 years through 3rd grade. We will need many volunteers to help in various areas to make VBS a success. Sign ups for both children and volunteers are available in the foyer. VBS is a great opportunity for outreach in our community, so sign your children up and encourage them to invite a friend or neighbor!
Round Tables with Jesus:
Everyone is invited to join “Round Tables with Jesus”, a Bible study which meets from 9:30-10:15 am on Sunday mornings in the Meeting Place. Herman Yoder and Mark Sharick are leading this Bible study on the book of Romans. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with others and study God’s word together. Men’s Prayer:
Men’s Prayer breakfast is an open group that meets on Thursday mornings at 6:00 am. If you would like more information, please contact Pastor Russ.
