Blessed Portions

NLF Women’s Ministry is collecting winter items for “Blessed Portions”, a ministry to the homeless in Ft. Wayne. Men’s boots, coats, gloves, and hand warmers are needed. These items can be brought to the church and placed at the Women’s Ministry desk from now until the end of October. Please contact Donna Bontrager for more information.

ON THE SCHEDULE:

NLF Tailgate Sunday
On Sunday, October 13th, NLF will have its 2nd Annual Tailgate Sunday following the morning service with food, fellowship, a corn hole tournament, and a bouncy house for the kids. Meat and drinks will be provided; plan to bring your favorite side or dessert. Bring your lawn chairs and don’t miss this opportunity to connect with your church family! In case of inclement weather this event will be moved indoors.

Man Up
Calling all men! A new Bible study, “No More Excuses” by Tony Evans, will be starting on Tuesday, Oct. 22nd from 6-7pm. There will be a video teaching followed by small group discussion. This is a brand-new study, so whether this is your first time, or you have joined us before, we look forward to seeing you there. This study will challenge you to lay down your excuses, stop compromising, and fight to be a man of character and commitment.

Trunk or Treat
Please mark your calendars for a Kids’ Country Trunk or Treat event on Wed. October 30th from 5:30-7pm. We are looking for 10-15 people to set up a trunk or treat station in their vehicle. If interested, please sign up at the Info Desk. We will also be collecting candy for this event. There are drop off bins in the foyer and in the Kids’ Country hallway for your donations.
