Hello NLF Church Family! Here’s what you need to know this week at NLF!
This Sunday, October 24th, there will be two services at 9:00 and 10:30am.
There will be coffee and light refreshments between the two services.
The service will be live streamed on FaceBook and on the church website nlf-online.church during the 9:00 am service. It will be accessible on both Face Book and the New Life website if you prefer to watch the service at a later time.
Parenting in a Digital Age:
If you were unable to attend the “Parenting in the Digital Age”seminar last weekend, the seminar was video-recorded and will be available to view beginning on Friday, Oct. 22nd. Hand outs for the seminar (to be used in conjunction with the video), are available at the Info Desk. Please visit our website: nlf-online.org to access the link. Thank you!
It’s Time to Pray!
NLF needs direction on how our church family can be faithfully connected to one another. Everyone is invited to join us for a corporate time of prayer on Wednesday November 3, 10, & 17, from 6:15-7:15pm in the sanctuary. Let’s truly make God’s house a house of prayer (Isaiah 56:7). Let’s seek God’s leadership. Let’s give the Holy Spirit space to guide us in our next steps. You don’t have to be a “professional pray-er” to come. All our welcome and encouraged to come!
Celebration Lunch:
In response to our 3 weeks of prayer, on Sunday November 21st we will have an all-church lunch to celebrate God’s faithfulness to New Life! Leadership from Nappanee Missionary Church will join us during both worship services to celebrate God’s answers to prayer in establishing New Life Fellowship Church and our opportunity to be debt free! The Celebration Lunch will follow the second worship service.
Prayer Warriors Needed:
Youth ministries needs a few more prayer warriors! If you have not been contacted and would love to pray for one or two of our teens, please call or text Jodi Wisler at 260-336-2196. Jodi will give you a name and all you need to do is pray for that teen by name once a week or as often as you can. You will be informed now and then of what they need prayer for. We have a total if 120 teens right now that are involved in our Wednesday night youth ministry. We need 15-20 more warriors to cover each of them in prayer. Thank you so much for lifting up our teens to our God Almighty.
Operation Christmas Child:
Please visit the table in our foyer to pick up a box for Operation Christmas Child (a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse). At the table you will find instructions on to how to fill the box, along with mailing labels, and examples of items to include in your box. Please include $9.00 shipping in an envelope inside your box (cash or check made out to Samaritan’s Purse). You may also track your box by scanning the QR code on the label. Please return all boxes (to the table in the foyer) by Sunday, November 14th. If you have questions about this project, please contact Cathy Frey.
Trunk or Treat Event:
Our Trunk-Or-Treat event will be next Wednesday, October 27 (6:30-8pm). If you are interested in providing a trunk, please sign up by this Sunday, October 24th at the Info Desk; all trunk themes will need to be Christian friendly and approved by NLF staff. If you would like to donate candy for this event, there are bins at the Info Desk and in the Kid’s Ministry hallway. Set up for this event will be from 5-6pm; pizza will be provided for volunteers as they set up their trunks. This is a great chance to reach out to our community, so spread the word and bring your friends and neighbors!
Life:Start Luncheon:
We will be having a welcome lunch on Sunday, October 31st following the 10:30am service. If you are newer to the New Life church family or would like to know more about the ministries of NLF, we invite you to come to this time of food and fellowship as the staff shares different ways to get involved and connected at New Life. Volunteer Appreciation Open House:
On Wednesday, November 17th, from 3:30-6:30pm, the NLF staff will be hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Open House in the New Life Cafe. If you have volunteered in any capacity at New Life during this past year, we invite you to come and enjoy a time of food and fellowship in your honor! NLF could not function without our many volunteers! Please come so we can honor you and express our appreciation for your service!
