ANNOUNCEMENTS:
This Sunday there will be two services at 9:00 and 10:30 am.
There will be coffee and light refreshments between the two services.
The service will be live streamed on FaceBook and on the church website nlf-online.church during the 9:00 am service. It will be accessible on both Face Book and the New Life website if you prefer to watch the service at a later time.
Opportunity to Serve Youth in our Community:
Meals of Hope (a ministry of Reason 4 Hope) is a food program that serves youth in our area by providing meals and snacks for them during the summer. This program started 2 years ago to help children who were dealing with food insecurity in their households and includes all 3 school systems in the county this year. If you would like to help pack meals, contact Dawn Christner. If you would like to help financially or have additional questions, contact Kim Hays or Sonja Giggy. There are also flyers at the info table with more information. Thank you!
Unite for Levi Fundraiser:
The pancake and sausage dinner fundraiser and silent/live auction for Levi Parker will be this Saturday, May 21st from 4-8 pm at the Farmstead Inn Event Pavilion. Please come and show your support! All proceeds will benefit Levi Parker and his family with his ongoing cancer treatment.
Father’s Day Event:
This year on Father’s Day, June 19th, there will be a car wash offered for all fathers sponsored by our teens and preteens. Dads may park their car in a designated area and it will be washed while they attend either worship service. Hotdogs will be served as well.
Senior Recognition Sunday:
We will honor our high school graduates on Sunday, May 29th. If you have a senior you would like to honor, please stop by the info desk and fill out a registration form and return it to the church office by May 22nd. Please email a photo of your student to becky@nlf-online.org.
Junior/Senior High Summer Camp:
Summer camp will be June 23-26 at Beulah Beach Camp in Vermilion, Ohio. This camp is for all students currently in 6th-12th grade and will include one day at Cedar Point. The cost is $300 by June 1st. Registration forms are available at the Info Desk. If you would like to assist a student financially to go to summer camp, please contact Pastor Jordan.
Summer VBS:
Vacation Bible School will take place June 13-17 from 5:45-8:00pm. There will be a short meeting for all VBS volunteers on Sunday, June 5th following the second worship service in the Meeting Place room. Volunteers will receive their t-shirts and details regarding their volunteer position. Sunday, June 12th from 5-7 pm will be the final VBS prep. VBS is a great opportunity for outreach in our community, so sign your children up and encourage them to invite a friend or neighbor! Ladies Summer Bike Rides:
Throughout the summer our Women’s Ministry will offer bike rides on Monday evenings at 6:30 pm. Each week the ride will start at a different location. All women are invited to participate and bring a friend! The first bike ride will be Monday, June 6th at 6:30 pm on the Pumpkinvine Trail. Sign up is available at the women’s ministry desk. Round Tables with Jesus:
Everyone is invited to join “Round Tables with Jesus”, a Bible study which meets from 9:30-10:15 am on Sunday mornings in the Meeting Place. Herman Yoder and Mark Sharick are leading this Bible study on the book of Romans. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with others and study God’s word together.
