NLF’s Response to COVID-19: (Posted March 13, 2020)

The COVID-19 is an unprecedented situation that has been making an impact on our world and community. As this is an ever-changing circumstance, we will do our best to care for you while keeping you informed on NLF’s ministry schedule. We all desire to do our part to steward the health of our community well and yet, be on mission as faithful follower of Jesus together. Please know that our leaders have gathered to pray, plan, and listen to Christ’s leading. The following updates are not, nor will ever be, based on fear. If Christ has set us free, we are free indeed.

We continue to walk with Jesus together, turning every obstacle into opportunities through the power of Christ. May Jesus continue to draw you into His ever-loving peace and guide us all as we live His light to the suffering and panicked world around us!

Announcement from the office of Governor Eric J. Holcomb:

“Non-essential gathering must be limited to no more than 250 people. This includes any even or gathering of people who are in one room or a single space at the same time, such as cafeterias, churches, stadiums, meeting and conference rooms, auditoriums and the like. This guidance applies to professional, social, community and similar other gatherings.”

*In light of NLF leadership prayer and discussion, and in the interest of honoring our national, state, and local coaching, all NLF activities are suspended through Saturday, March 21.

Since we are responsible to do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19, will not be gathering together on the NLF property Sunday, March 15, 2020. But we will be worshipping together. Please join us (through Facebook Live) for our own live worship service Sunday at 10 am.

We will be canceling all student ministry activities this coming week. In the meantime, we are considering creative ways to connect within smaller groups in the future.

Unless otherwise approved, please do not gather within the NLF property; this includes our awesome cleaning volunteers. Steps have been taken to ensure prudent cleaning of the building and all associated classrooms.  Hand sanitizer and Kleenex is distributed throughout the building.

All onsite ministry programs are suspended through Saturday, March 21. We are asking groups that meet outside the building to wisely consider their options in light of the current global situation.  Meeting together has always been vital to the effectiveness of the church’s mission and has moved forward in far worse situations. Please use wisdom and creativity within a posture of prayer if and when you decide to connect.

*Thank you for your partnership and grace as we all look to navigate these times wisely and obediently.

Walking with Jesus faithfully together!
